FINANCIAL HELP FOR STRUGGLING MARYLANDERS

Maryland is shifting money to help people who have overdue gas and electric bills.  The Maryland Public Service Commission is allocating 83-million-dollars to help struggling customers.  It’s part of the RELIEF Act that the Governor signed earlier this year.  Folks that have received state energy assistance over the last four years, people with medical needs, and customers with the oldest outstanding bills all qualify.  Utility companies will begin contacting qualified residents over the next few months.
