PSC ANNOUNCES UTILITY HELP

The Maryland Public Service Commission has announced 83-million-dollars in state funding to help residents with past-due utility bills.  The money comes from the RELIEF Act passed by the General Assembly earlier this year and signed into law by Governor Hogan.  Maryland utilities say thousands of customers have fallen behind on their payments since the state of emergency was declared last year. The funding will be available for customer accounts that accumulated a balance before June 30.
