Each year, more and more cars and trucks are having their catalytic converters stolen. The nationwide trend is not avoiding West Virginia. The reason thieves are after the exhaust system component is because there are small amounts of very precious metals in the part, and if they steal enough, it can accumulate into a value sum. The biggest targets are vans and trucks with a higher clearance as it makes it easy to cut the catalytic converters out of the vehicle’s under carriage.
