MARYLAND TO LAUNCH MENTAL HEALTH PHONE CALL PROGRAM

A new program in Maryland will help connect residents with mental health services.  This comes after the state General Assembly unanimously passed the Thomas Bloom Raskin Act earlier this year.  It’s set to take effect on July 1st.  Under the new law, the state Department of Health is establishing a mental health services phone call program to be run by Two-One-One Maryland.  Officials will periodically check in on those who take part in the program and offer to connect them with mental health services as needed.
