GRIM MILESTONE AS HOMICIDE RATE PASSES 160 IN BALTIMORE

Baltimore police recorded the 160th homicide in the city this past weekend. And community advocates are calling for efforts to keep repeat offenders off the streets.  Law enforcement and community leaders have blamed repeat offenders for much of the violence on Baltimore streets.  The latest homicide victim was a 38-year-old man who was shot on West Lanvale Street Saturday night.  He later died at a hospital.  Two more men were shot to death yesterday, marking the 18th murder in the last ten days.
