MARYLAND UNEMPLOYMENT RATE DROPS

Maryland’s unemployment rate is down a bit.  The federal Bureau of Labor Statistics reports the jobless rate fell a tenth of a point to six-point-one-percent last month after the state added eleven-thousand-500 jobs.  Education and health services led the way with 47-hundred jobs, while the health care and social assistance subsector added 26-hundred jobs.  Governor Larry Hogan noted Maryland has added more than 266-thousand jobs over the last 13 months, including over 41-thousand positions since the beginning of the year.
