What appeared to Cumberland Police to be a drug transaction on Independence Street Saturday turned out to be just that, and they arrested 24-year-old Hadley Star Jenkins. Officers asked to look in Ms. Jenkins’ purse, where they found suspected heroin, crack cocaine, prescription medication and CDS paraphernalia. There was a brief struggle, and she allegedly tried to bribe the officer in lieu of being placed under arrested. She received a District Court hearing and was ordered held at the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.
