HOT, HUMID CONDITIONS ACROSS THE STATE OF MARYLAND

Much of Maryland is bracing for hot and humid conditions over the next several days.  Forecasters say the heat and humidity will combine to make it feel as hot as 105-degrees on this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon. Cooling centers will be open throughout the region and Maryland health officials say everyone should take steps to guard against heat-related illnesses.  Officials are reminding people to never leave children or pets in a hot car, even with the windows cracked.  So far this summer, there has been one heat-related death, compared to 16 for all of last summer.
