Governor Larry Hogan has announced $13.5 million in Waterway Improvement Fund grants for Fiscal Year 2022; the grants will be used to enhance and improve public boating access, facilities, and navigation throughout the state. In Allegany County, Rocky Gap State Park will receive $250,000 for boating access improvement and bulkhead replacement. Westernport will receive $121,000 for boat launch improvements. Deep Creek Lake will be the recipient of $200,000 for boat dock replacement and boat area repairs. Washington County and the town of Hancock in particular, will also receive a share of the grants.
