Friendsville resident Carrie Lee McCombie faces drug charges, following a traffic stop Tuesday evening on Interstate 68 in Garrett County. She was initially stopped for an equipment violation. A positive K-9 alert led to a search of the vehicle. Both methamphetamine and Alprazolam were found, along with drug paraphernalia and a scale. The street value of the meth was about $800. She was charged with, among other counts, possession of both meth and Alprazolam with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was taken to the Garrett County Detention Center, where she was to have received a bond hearing.
