TWO COVID-19 CASES REPORTED IN ALLEGANY COUNTY

Only two positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Allegany County since Tuesday, and there have been no additional deaths. About 35 per cent of residents have been fully vaccinated; the state of Maryland, as a whole, is reporting 51.6 per cent have received both doses of the vaccine. The local positivity rate is 1.06 per cent, while the state is at 0.56 per cent. A reminder that the Allegany County Health Department will fully reopen for all in-person services today. Masks will continue to be required for all individuals, age 5 and older, when inside Health Department buildings.
