FEDERAL UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS TO CONTINUE

Federal unemployment benefits will continue to be made available in Maryland on a judge’s order.  Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Larry Fletcher Hill issued a temporary restraining order Saturday.  He said ending the three hundred dollar a month extra benefit at this time would have caused “substantial, irreparable harm” to Marylanders.  Earlier, Governor Larry Hogan had issued his own order to rescind Maryland’s participation in the program.  Governor Hogan says he plans to fight the judge’s ruling.
