GOVERNOR ANNOUNCES PAY RAISE FOR CORRECTIONAL OFFICERS

Governor Larry Hogan has announced 13-million-dollars in salary increases to attract and retain correctional officers. The governor says it’s vital work and those who maintain the security of Maryland’s correctional facilities and oversee inmates deserve recognition.  The state has had difficulties filling corrections positions and the pay raises are an effort to overcome recruitment challenges.
