Maryland’s new Superintendent of Schools is on the job. Mohammed Choudhury is responsible for leading the Department of Education and the state’s education policy through the Blueprint for Education along with guiding schools as they emerge from the pandemic. Mr. Choudhury says he plans to build upon the solid foundation established by Dr. Karen Salmon and the MSDE team through engagement, listening and learning. Dr. Salmon retired on June 30.
