The Allegany County Health Department will be closed Monday, due to the Independence Day holiday. There will be no COVID testing today at the Allegany County Fairgrounds. As of Thursday, there has been only one additional COVID case in the county, and zero additional deaths. The county’s positivity rate is at 1.01 per cent, while the state sits at .57 per cent. Just over 35 per cent of the county population has been fully vaccinated. By comparison, the state is reporting 57.5 per cent of all Maryland residents have been vaccinated.
