Maryland’s congressional delegation has announced nearly 54-million-dollars in federal funding to strengthen special education services for children across the state. The lawmakers say the COVID-19 pandemic has presented significant challenges for special education services and the American Rescue Plan funding will help Maryland children and families. The money will be used for early intervention programs, speech-language therapy and counseling.
