Only one new COVID case has been reported in the county since last Friday and there have been no additional deaths. The county’s positivity rate is now actually below that of the state. Allegany County reports a rate of .51 per cent; the state stands at .73. There will be a free walk-in COVID-19 clinic next Wednesday on the ground floor of the Willowbrook Road Office Complex from 9 a.m. to noon. Both the Moderna and Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccines will be offered to those 18 and over. About 35-1/2 per cent of the population is now fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
