Protestors gathered outside of the Maryland Labor Department building in Baltimore Tuesday, calling on Governor Larry Hogan to drop his legal challenge against federally enhanced jobless benefits. Over the weekend a Baltimore judge issued a temporary restraining order to stop the governor from ending the extra 300-dollars a week. Hogan’s team appealed the ruling but it was dismissed by the Court of Appeals Monday and it now heads back to Baltimore Circuit Court. The next scheduled hearing is at 2 p.m. tomorrow. During yesterday’s demonstration, the Unemployed Workers Union tried, but was unable to meet with Maryland Labor Secretary Tiffany Robinson.
