After being hospitalized earlier this week, Martinsburg Mayor Harriet Johnson has died. Johnson became the first female mayor of Martinsburg when she was elected last summer. She was transported to a hospital in Virginia earlier this week with an undisclosed medical emergency. Funeral arrangements are pending.
