District 1-C Delegate Mike McKay has expressed his gratitude for Senator George Edwards’ years of service in the General Assembly. According to a statement from McKay, residents “could not have asked for a more steadfast and passionate representative in Annapolis.” Delegate McKay says he never lost sight of the true meaning of public service, and putting politics aside to better the lives of his constituents and their communities. He also credited Edwards for being a mentor to him in his 20 years of public service-both as a member of the Allegany County Board of Commissioners, and as a delegate in the General Assembly.
