WV TEACHER UNIONS WARN AGAINST RUSHED LEARNING

Members of the state Board of Education heard from leaders of three teacher’s unions yesterday.  The unions are warning against the rush to try to make up for lost time in the classroom too quickly.  Teachers are also preparing to work with students for instruction, without having to worry about having the proper or enough personal protection items at their disposal.  A national survey conducted by the American Federation of Teachers shows 73-percent of parents are in favor of in-classroom learning.
