Maryland has made some major changes for folks who are receiving unemployment benefits. Anyone receiving benefits under the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance and the Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation programs must now show that they are consistently applying for jobs. The Department of Labor put the rule back in place on Sunday and people must apply for at least three jobs per week. Maryland had put a pause on this rule over the last several months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
