Officials say they have been noticing a considerably higher number of fraud attempts since the state switched to its new unemployment compensation system. Officials added that the system wasn’t breached, but they believe their system attracted national attention and a more widespread use of fraud filing bots. The department is working with police and the attorney general to investigate the bump in fraud attempts.
