Penn State is approving a policy for taking back university honors and distinctions. The president can enact the policy if they feel an honoree is bringing a bad light to the university’s name. The policy requires the president to meet with the chair and vice chair of the board. Formal board consideration or approval of a reversal of an honor is no longer required.
