After several weeks of a steady downward trend in the number of new COVID cases, the momentum is swinging the other way. The number of active cases is back above 11-hundred in the state, an increase of 80 since last Friday. In many areas of the country, the rising case numbers are due to the delta variant, but in the Mountain State, there have only been 22 cases of the delta variant confirmed.
