UNIVERSITY TO PAY OFF STUDENT DEBT

One area university is doing its part to help students pay down some of their student debt. Coppin State University says it will pay off one-million-dollars in student debt by using money from the American Rescue Plan Act. The Student Debt Relief Initiative is available to all students who were  enrolled at Coppin during the fall 2020 or spring 2021 semesters and are most impacted by the pandemic. The school is also providing a twelve-hundred-dollar credit to every student, current and incoming, enrolled in the upcoming fall term.
