You can expect delays on portions of Virginia Avenue on Thursday, beginning at 5 a.m. Delays should be expected on Virginia Avenue to Elder Street to Mary Street, and residents are asked to have all cars removed from the street by that time. The work is expected to be completed by 6 p.m. Humbird Street will also be closed from Virginia Avenue to Ella Street during those same hours. The road closure and parking lane closure will allow Columbia Gas and its contractor to complete a critical task in the project area. Although drivers should avoid the area as much as possible, flaggers will be in place to direct traffic around the site.
