Thirty-three new COVID cases have been reported by the Allegany County Health Department. There have been no new deaths. As of Tuesday, only 41.5 per cent of Allegany County residents were fully vaccinated; health officials continue to urge unvaccinated citizens to get their vaccine as soon as possible. The local positivity rate is 7.62 per cent, while the state rate is 4.92 per cent. The Health Department holds free vaccine clinics at their office complex every Wednesday from 9 to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Although it had been announced COVID testing would be cancelled tomorrow, it will be held in the ballfield area of the fairgrounds.
