The Maryland Judiciary is now requiring all staff to be vaccinated against COVID-19 or undergo testing every week before reporting for work. The order comes as cases of the coronavirus continue to increase. Under an emergency order issued by Maryland Court of Appeals Chief Judge Mary Ellen Barbera, all Maryland Judiciary personnel must provide proof of vaccination by September 27th or submit to weekly testing proving their negative status before reporting for work. The order falls in line with other judiciary orders with local, state, and federal mandates being issued to stem the rising tide of transmission rates and to protect court personnel and the public.
