MARYLAND BUSINESSES RECEIVE MICROGRANTS FROM ZONE INVESTMENT

Several Maryland manufacturing and retail businesses are receiving microgrants totaling to 500-thousand-dollars for Opportunity Zone investments.  Governor Larry Hogan announced that designated communities would be given the grants today, saying the state has been working hard to supercharge investment and make Maryland’s 149 Opportunity Zones the most competitive ones in America.  One of the largest awarded recipients is Zest Tea LLC located in Baltimore, a business offering caffeine energy tea.
