COVID CASE RATE EXCEEDS STATEWIDE AVERAGE; TWO ADDITIONAL DEATHS

The COVID-19 case rate in Allegany County continues to exceed the statewide average at 38.75 per 100,000. The state average is at 14.11. Two additional deaths have been reported, and there are 37 new COVID cases, as of Tuesday. The local positivity rate is over twice the statewide average as well. Approximately 46.1 per cent of Allegany County residents are fully vaccinated, as compared to the state rate of 65.7 per cent. The weekly vaccination clinics continue every Wednesday at the Health Department Complex on Willowbrook Road, and testing is done every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at the Allegany County Fairgrounds.
