MODERNA BOOSTER CLINICS SET FOR TOMORROW, WEDNESDAY

There have been 45 new COVID cases in Allegany County, and one additional death. Just over 46 per cent of the Allegany County population is fully vaccinated. The Allegany County Health Department has announced that Moderna vaccine booster clinics will be held tomorrow and Wednesday at the Allegany County Fairgrounds. It will be by appointment only and will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The CDC has announced that Johnson and Johnson recipients, aged 18 or older, whose initial vaccination was two or more months ago, are also eligible for a COVID vaccine booster. These individuals may choose Moderna, Pfizer or J & J for their COVID booster. The positivity rate in the county is now at 5.33 per cent; the state average is 3.21 per cent.
