PENNSYLVANIANS SPENT ALMOST $3 BILLION ON ALCOHOL THIS YEAR

A report says Pennsylvanians spent a record amount of money — almost three billion dollars  — on alcohol this fiscal year.  The report comes from the Philadelphia Business Journal, which says the figure beats the old records of two-point-67-billion dollars set before the pandemic hit in 2019.  Five of the six top counties in sales came from Greater Philadelphia and its four surrounding counties.  Year-over-year, Delaware County recorded one of the biggest increases in alcohol sales with a 32 percent hike.
