NUMBER OF ALLEGANY COUNTY COVID CASES REMAINS LOW

The Allegany County Health Department reports there have been only 18 new cases added to the state’s dashboard in the past week. The county’s COVID-19 Community Level, as reported by the CDC remains low, as does the rest of the state. There have been two COVID-related deaths. The local positivity rate is lower than the state as a whole, at 1.88%; Maryland’s rate is 3.06%. The percentage of residents in the county who are fully vaccinated, is holding at 56.1%.
