SOON, ONLY SHOTGUNS AND ARCHERY WILL BE ALLOWED FOR PA. TURKEY HUNTING

A measure adopted at a recent Pennsylvania Board of Game Commissioners meeting eliminates the use of many single-projectile firearms for hunting turkeys. Those include muzzle-loading rifles, handguns, and slug guns. The commissioners say the change makes for simpler regulations. Once the measure takes effect in about six weeks, only shotguns and archery gear will be lawful for fall turkey hunting.
