MARYLAND JOBLESS CLAIMS FALL

Unemployment claims are down in Maryland.  The U.S. Labor Department estimates about 15-hundred first-time jobless claims were filed in Maryland during the week ending August 6th.  That’s down from around 22-hundred from the previous week.  In DC, claims increased by 50, while they jumped by more than 350 in Virginia.  Nationally, claims rose by 14-thousand, to an estimated 262-thousand.
