MINERAL COUNTY RECEIVES MONEY FOR LARENIM PARK PROJECT

The West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture, and History has granted Mineral County $15,000 to help in the design of a new amphitheater at Larenim Park. The total cost of the planning for the project is estimated to be about $30,000. The Commissioners there also voted to allow planning firm R.K. & K to handle the grant writing process for more funding the county hopes to receive. The park’s former amphitheater was demolished in March. Building a new amphitheater is expected to cost at least a million dollars.
