The wet weekend ushered in the start of the autumn forest fire season. Open burn hours are now restricted to 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. A lot of common sense needs to be used during this time of year also, such as no outside fire on windy evenings, or extra dry periods. Violations of the burning laws can cost up to one-thousand dollars worth of fines.
