MINERAL BOARD OKAYS LARGER GYM AT FRANKFORT MIDDLE SCHOOL

The Mineral County Board of Education has approved the addition of a larger gymnasium, while at the same time, awaiting word from the West Virginia School Building Authority on covering overages with the Frankfort Elementary project. The cost to build the school was originally set at $9.1 million but are asking for $6.4 million more. The building would combine Fort Ashby and Wiley Ford Primary Schools and Frankfort Intermediate. The expanded gym and some additional paving, however, came in under budget.
