LOCKERBIE BOMBING SUSPECT IN U.S. CUSTODY; 8 MD. RESIDENTS KILLED

More than 30 years after the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland, that killed 270 people — including eight Marylanders — a prime suspect is in U.S. custody.  The Justice Department confirmed the suspect is in custody, but no details of his arrest were given.  The Libyan intelligence operative is expected to make a court appearance in Washington, DC on criminal federal charges.  The eight Maryland residents who were killed included 21-year-old Anne Lindsey Otenasek of Baltimore, 24-year-old George Williams of Joppatowne and 20-year-old Miriam Luby Wolfe of Severna Park.
