NEARLY 17,000 MARYLANDERS TO RECEIVE STUDENT LOAN HELP

Thousands of Marylanders are eligible to receive a portion of a federal student loan relief program.  The U.S. Department of Education says around 16-thousand-750 borrowers in Maryland will receive more than 918-million dollars as part of the Income-Driven Repayment Plan.  Nationwide, the Biden administration is forgiving 39-billion dollars in student debt for more than 800-thousand borrowers. The IDR program is being offered in response to the U.S. Supreme Court shutting down the administration’s larger student loan forgiveness plan.
