A Pennsylvania House committee has voted to narrow the scope of a cryptocurrency mining bill. The measure would have it only provide for industry reporting and a study about its operations in Pennsylvania. The Environmental Resources and Energy Committee voted in favor of the amended House Bill 1476. It will require cryptocurrency operators to file reports on several aspects, including the location of and size of their operations and energy used. The state Department of Environmental Protection is the agency that is set to conduct an impact study on the methods.
