SCHOOL FUNDING REQUESTS EXCEED AVAILABLE MONEY

Superintendents from 31 county school districts are making their cases for funding before the West Virginia School Building Authority this week.  The districts are requesting more than 170 million dollars, but only 43-and-a-half million dollars is available.  Many of the projects involve replacing HVAC systems or installing new roofs on aging school buildings.  The authority will announce its funding decisions at its December 15th meeting.
