Three people were killed, and five were injured, in a multi-vehicle crash on State Route 40, just past the Somerset County line Monday evening. The crash occurred when a tractor-trailer crossed into oncoming traffic, hitting a pickup truck head-on. The pickup then hit a van, head-on. One person in each of the vehicles was killed. State Police reconstruction specialists are investigating the crash.
