CORRECTIONAL STAFF AMONG THOSE INDICTED IN PRISON SMUGGLING

Maryland Attorney General Anthony Brown says ten people have been indicted in three contraband smuggling schemes at Jessup Correctional Institution.  The group includes two correctional officers, a correctional educator, and several inmates accused of moving drugs, phones, and other items into the prison.  Investigators say one officer was found with thousands of pills, cannabis, and other contraband packaged for delivery.  All cases are being prosecuted in Anne Arundel County.
