West Virginia American Water is conducting potholing operations to identify lead and certain galvanized water lines. Crews are working in the Charleston and Huntington areas to comply with upcoming EPA regulations. The utility must replace any lead lines found by 2037 at no cost to customers. So far, after three weeks of work, no lead lines have been discovered.
