A suspect has been identified after a vehicle crashed into the Lana Lu apartments along Route 36 early yesterday morning. Fire and EMS units, along with the Allegany County Special Operations Collapse Team were on the scene, but the driver fled prior to the fire department’s arrival. Officials say they were able to identify a possible suspect through video surveillance as the driver fled onto Douglas Avenue. Minor damage was reported to the building, and it could not be confirmed if there were any contributing factors to the crash. The investigation is continuing.
