Yesterday marked day three of the murder trial in Somerset County, of Gregory Mostoller, who is accused of shooting and killing Clifton Earl Johnson of Hooversville in June of 2023. Testimony was heard from Mostoller’s neighbor Terry Tomlinson, who said he heard gunshots, which sounded “deliberate and methodical” as if someone was doing target practice. The court also heard from Dr. Courtney Healy, a forensic pathologist, who testified about the bullet wounds to the victim, and each bullet’s entry and exit from the body. That testimony was on Tuesday. Mostoller claims the shooting was in self-defense, as Johnson allegedly came at Mostoller with a wrench.
