A fatal motorcycle accident happened just before 9 a.m. yesterday in the Jeffries Road area of Interstate 68. The accident happened after the 35-year-old man, who was not identified, lost control of the bike, and hit a guardrail. He was ejected from the vehicle. A number of units responded, including the Maryland State Police, fire and ambulance units and the Allegany County medical examiner. Interstate 68 westbound was closed for about two hours during the investigation, with traffic being detoured onto Route 144 at the Rocky Gap exit.
