Cumberland/Frostburg Farmer’s Markets
Now through October, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Farmer’s Markets in Cumberland and Frostburg will continue through October. In Cumberland, they are held Thursdays, through October 24th; in Frostburg, on Fridays, at City Place, through October 25th; and, again in Cumberland, at the Canal Place Depot, on Saturdays, through October 26th. Hours for each are 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dates and times for the Frostburg Winter Market have yet to be determined. Vendor applications for the Cumberland and Frostburg markets are closed for this year. Take advantage and buy locally produced fruits, vegetables, plants, meats, and other items at the Farmer’s Market!
Sunday in the Park Concert Series

The city of Cumberland’s Parks and Recreation Department proudly presents the 2024 Sunday in the Park Series. They’re held every Sunday at the Constitution Park Amphitheatre, for a concert under the stars. All concerts begin at 7:30 p.m., and they are free and open to the public!

Shanksville Community Picnic
Friday and Saturday, August 2nd and 3rd
The Shanksville Community picnic takes place on Friday and Saturday, August 2nd and 3rd at the Community Grove, 1291 Cornerstone Road. There are lots of activities for Friday and Saturday, and you can find out more by going to Facebook @svfd627 for updates and details.
Order of the Eastern Star Basket Bingo
Saturday, August 3, 2024, 12 Noon to 4 p.m.
McKinley Chapter 12 Order of the Eastern Star will hold a Basket Bingo event on Saturday, August 3rd, beginning at 12 noon in the Cumberland Masonic Building on Greene Street. Doors open at noon and bingo begins at 1 p.m. Advance tickets are $10 and $15 at the door, for ten games, 3 Quickies, and a door prize ticket.
